Boards

The SC4K Board of Directors consists of corporate and community leaders devoted to improving the lives of children in Greater Cleveland. The Board of Directors defines the organization’s mission, values and vision by engaging in short and long-term planning for the organization. The board monitors fiscal management of the organization and maintains accountability to SC4K's funders and donors by reviewing and approving the annual budget, major program plans and organizational policies. Its members ensure the staff has the resources necessary to operate effectively. The Board actively represents the organization to the public, especially to current and potential financial supporters. The board also serves as a voice for the distribution partners and individuals in the community that are served by SC4K. On a personal level, each board member participates actively in board meetings and volunteers on at least one board committee. Board members also make a personal donation to the organization.

The SC4K Advisory Board also consists of corporate and community leaders who are dedicated to SC4K’s mission. They lend their support and guidance to the Board of Directors and Executive Director and represent the organization to the public. Many of SC4K’s Advisory Board members have been involved since SC4K’s early years, offering a historical perspective on the organization’s progress and development.
