Valerie F. McCormack
Executive Director
Valerie has served as Executive Director of SC4K since January of 2001. Prior to joining SC4K, held many positions in the non-profit and education fields, including Director of Development for The Ratner School, Director of Special Events and the YMCA Cleveland Corporate Challenge and Director of the Euclid YMCA School Age Child Care Program.
With jobs that keep you running from event to event, it's no surprise that Valerie's favorite shoes are gym shoes. Fitting, as her first job in Cleveland was as a health and physical education teacher at Hawken Upper School where she also coached girl's track, basketball and tennis.
Valerie is a member of the Board of Directors for the Forever Children's Home, a home established in 2001 to provide housing and lifetime care for four individuals with severe mental retardation and developmental disabilities. She has also been very involved with various committees and boards at her children's alma maters including Gilmour Academy, Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School, The Ratner School, Holy Cross School and the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities school program.
A devoted fan of all sports, we like Valerie despite her devotion to her hometown team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Valerie received her undergraduate and master's degrees from Indiana University. She has four grown sons and lives in Cleveland with her husband Tim, whom she met while running in the Metroparks.

Sharon A. Boyes
Director of Development & Communications
Sharon Boyes is the Director of Development & Communications for SC4K. Sharon joined Shoes and Clothes for Kids in February of 2007. Sharon oversees the organization's fund-raising efforts and special events. She also leads all communications efforts for the organization, including managing the organization's printed materials, handling media relations, and overseeing the website and social media efforts.
Prior to joining Shoes and Clothes for Kids, Sharon was the Executive Director for the Rainbow Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and was previously the Director of Development of COSE/Greater Cleveland Growth Association (now the Greater Cleveland Partnership) and Director of Marketing at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven.
It's no coincidence that Sharon ended up working at SC4K since her closet at home is overflowing with shoes. Sharon's favorite shoes are strappy sandals, which are perfect to wear to SC4K's annual summer fundraiser, Luau on the Lake.
A native Clevelander, Sharon attended John Carroll University for her undergraduate and graduate studies in English. In addition to being a Shakespearean scholar, Sharon loves to travel to exotic beaches and can find anything on the Internet in under three minutes flat.
Sharon lives in Avon Lake with her husband Marc, and Kingston and Marley, her golden retriever and black lab, whose names were inspired by Sharon and Marc's favorite vacation destination — Jamaica. Her daughter, Meghanne, recently graduated from The Ohio State University.

Monica N. Lloyd
Director of Programs & Development Manager
Monica joined SC4K in April 2010 as part-time Program & Volunteer Associate. In 2013, Monica took on a full-time role and was promoted to Director of Programs & Development Manager. She coordinates the packing and distribution of the new clothes purchased by SC4K and stored at the warehouse.  Monica is also the liaison with our distribution partners; providing regular communication, routine site visits, and overseeing the partner extranet documentation process. In addition, Monica manages several development activities including donor data processing and receipting and event registration.

Previously, Monica has worked and volunteered for many nonprofit organizations including: Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless, Community Shares, Hospice of the Western Reserve, United Church of Christ-Child Sponsorship and One Great Hour of Sharing, The Gathering Place. She is also a life member of the NAACP.

Monica is an Eastside of Cleveland resident. She loves to travel, especially to art museums. Being such a huge NBA fan, Monica has attended games in 26 of 30 NBA arenas. When she is not traveling she enjoys board game nights with her family and her book club.  Slip-on shoes suit Monica best since she has to change her shoes so often because she is always going back and forth from the office to the warehouse.
