There are many ways for your corporation or organization to get involved and make a difference in the lives of Greater Cleveland's children in need. These unique programs provide positive publicity for your organization and get your employees involved in the organization's programs and events. You can also support us with personal contributions through your company's workplace giving campaign or matching gift program. Contact the Development Department at 216.881.SHOE (7463), ext. 4 for more information on any of the programs below.
Sponsor an Event
SC4K's fund-raisers generate 35% of the organization’s revenue each year. And the biggest way your company can make an impact is to sponsor one of our fund-raisers or special events. Sponsorship involves a financial contribution to SC4K in exchange for participation in the event and/or promotion of the company in the event’s and organization’s communications materials. Check out our Events
page for information on sponsorship levels for each event.
Participate in a Packing Day
Groups of volunteers are needed at the SC4K warehouse in Cleveland to help count, sort and pack items into boxes for distribution. Learn more about this fun, team-building opportunity here
Host a Drive for SC4K
Your company or organization can host a drive for SC4K and collect financial donations or brand new clothing items for children. For every $1.00 donated, SC4K is able to purchase $20.00 - $25.00 worth of brand new clothing for distribution in the community. Clothing items can be collected during back to school or holiday/winter time. SC4K asks that all donated items be brand new with the tags on and unwrapped so we can inventory them for distribution. Learn more about holding a sock and underwear drive here.
Make a financial contribution through your workplace giving program. If your workplace offers United Way, SC4K is not a United Way member agency but can still receive designations. If you are a Federal worker, you can donate to us through the Combined Federal Campaign. Simply designate organization #96280.
Some other ideas for ways to get your workplace involved include making SC4K the beneficiary of your workplace's "Dress Down Fridays" or encouraging employees to donate to SC4K in exchange for a two-hour lunch or a pass to go home early.
You may be able to make your donation to SC4K go farther. Find out if your company has a matching gift program and if so please designate Shoes and Clothes for Kids as the recipient of your company's match. Shoes and Clothes for Kids is registered in the State of Ohio as a nonprofit corporation. SC4K’s Federal Tax Identification number is 34-1554285.
