We’re excited that you want to know more about our young professional committees. SC4K is committed to providing meaningful volunteer experiences for all of our volunteers and we are especially aware of the particular needs of younger volunteers who are busy furthering their education, developing their careers or starting a family. Our committees provide a simple way to actively participate in the work of SC4K. Led by volunteers from our Associate Board with input from the SC4K staff, SC4K welcomes your participation on any of the following committees:
Communications & Development
This energetic team publicizes SC4K’s mission and events and plans events such as happy hours to raise funds and make new friends for SC4K. They’re also leading the charge when it comes to using social media to promote SC4K. Co-Chairs: Nader Ali-Hassan and Emily Lauer
Luau on the Lake
This fun team plans SC4K’s annual summer Luau on the Lake fund-raiser. Volunteers help sell tickets and sponsorships and work on the event logistics. This team knows how to plan a memorable party. Co-chairs Jason Conger & Kelly Romano
Volunteer Development
This team coordinates SC4K’s volunteer programs and opportunities, including the recruitment and retention of volunteers. They also plan events to connect young professionals to the organization’s Distribution Partners, such as the annual Care Day Distribution. Co-Chairs Candice Dempsey & Allegra Prewitt
